	Reservations Reservations are recommened. Deposit: A one-night's deposit is required at the time of reservation. Your deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time of reservation. Conformation Number: You will be given a confirmation number when you make your reservation. This guarantees your room. No additional confirmation is necessary. Cancellation Policy: If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible. We require notice of cancellation 7 days in advance of your arrival date to refund your deposit. Should it be necessary to cancel any part of the reservation with less than 72 hours notice before date of reservation, the deposit is forfeited or we reserve the right to charge 50% of your total reservation. An administrative fee of $20.00 will be charged to process all cancellations. No-show Policy: Guests who fail to notify Otway House of a cancellation will be responsible to an amount equal to a one-night's rate plus applicable state and local taxes or we reserve the right to charge 50% of your total reservation. Walk ins are welcomed and handled on a first come first served basis. We are open 365 days a year. Check in 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Check out 11 AM. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Debit Cards and Cash. Sorry, no personnel checks. Rates are subject to change without notice. State and local taxes apply. We offer 4 guest accommodations; one downstairs, three upstairs; all with private baths. Policies Meals: We serve a full breakfast. Coffee/Tea, juice, fruit, bacon or sausage, and eggs, or pancakes, or main stay breakfst items. ! Smoking: For the comfort and protection of our guests, Otway House has a NO SMOKING POLICY. Smoking is limited to the Veranda and outdoor spaces. Accommodations are not suitable for children under 10. No childcare is provided. Pets: Pet owners will assume all responsibility should any damage occur to the room. We do have indoor/outdoor kennels available on site. A doggy play area is in the works for our four legged guest. Kennels run : credit card: $26.69 per night per dog cash:$21.35 per night per dog. We feed Pro-plan Puppy and Pedigree Adult dog food. Map We are located in Otway about 7 miles east of Beaufort,  North Carolina. Coming from Beaufort........... Follow Hwy 70 East and the signs to Cedar Island Ferry, Harkers Island, Cape Lookout ect. At East Carteret High School, Hwy 70 will turn east (make a right turn at the stop light). Go about 5 miles. The first bridge you cross is the North River bridge, the second much smaller bridge you will cross is the Ward Creek bridge We are located about 1/2 mile east of the Ward's Creek bridge. We are the big white house on the right. Look for our sign and lamp poles along the driveway. If you continue east on Hwy 70 about 1/2 mile you will come to the turn to Harkers Island I recommend the drive out to the end of the island where you can get a great view of the lighthouse. Coming from Cedar Island/Ferry........... Follow Highway 12 to Highway 70 West and follow signs. You will travel through several small communites. We are located about 1 mile past Harkers Island Rd on your left. The road makes a sharp turn to the left where the marsh meets the road. We are the big white house on the left. Look for our sign and lamp poles along the driveway.
